We love Blue Tit’s, apart from the playground humour attached to their name (go on giggle) they’re also cheeky and confident (a bit like us)! Blue Tit’s may be the most common species of tit, but with a bright blue cap and magnificent yellow belly they rock the UK’s gardens in style and the cover of our designs! Available from £3.50 on http://www.marthaandhepsie.com

As well as our joint venture of martha and hepsie ltd, Hepsie and I also each work independently on different projects, jobs & hobbies, so we have decided to share our own individual thoughts, designs and ‘going ons’ on our individual pages and this is mine 🙂 click on the page titled ‘hepsie’ to see what she’s been up to!
I design for m&h but I’m also pursuing a new career as an independent designer and i’ll use this page to share my story.
As I sit at my desk while it snows outside I start the third and final module of my e-course
run by the amazing duo Rachael Taylor and Beth Nicholls. Although I still have some work to catch up on from module 2, I can’t wait to get cracking with module 3! I have learnt so much so far, strengthened my portfolio, technical ability, industry know-how and most importantly my confidence 🙂 Thank you Rachael and Beth!
Those that know me will be aware that I was made redundant twice in the space of 6 months at the end of last year from my career in the design, gift and homes-ware industry in London. This was a very bitter pill to swallow and these last few months have been extremely tough BUT everything happens for a reason and I feel, slowly but surely i’m getting back on track and heading in the right direction to grow my freelance career as an illustrator and surface pattern designer…fingers crossed all goes well!!
I’ve been working on my portfolio and thought i’d share just a few designs with you…..
Pop back and visit for updates on my design journey!
